Deerfield River Fife Brook Section (Charlemont, Massachusetts)

Our Most Popular Youth Group Trip: The Fife Brook trip is our most popular trip for youth groups.

It is perfect for groups with varied ages and athletic abilities. Many groups return for this trip year after year to emphasize team skills, confidence building, great fun and camaraderie.

Class of Rapids: I, II, III

Minimum Age: 8

Length of Trip: 10 miles

Trip Time: Full Day

Deerfield River Funyak Trip (Charlemont, Massachusetts)

Half Day Kayak Adventure: Our Funyak trip is the perfect half-day adventure or you may combine

it with another trip to make a great two day adventure. Funyaks are inflatable kayaks which allow anyone to enjoy river kayaking without prior experience.

Class of Rapids: I, II

Minimum Age: 10

Length of Trip: 8 miles

Trip Time: Half-Day Afternoon

Food: Riverside Snack and Drink

Deerfield River Monroe Bridge Section (Charlemont, Massachusetts)

Most Aggressive trip in Massachusetts: The Monroe Bridge trip offers aggressive, continuous Class III-IV action. This trip is geared toward youth groups that have rafted before.

Class of Rapids: II, III, IV

Minimum Age: 15

Trip Time: Full Day

Food: River Snack & Cookout (steak, chicken, salmon, veg. option)

Millers River (Charlemont, Massachusetts)

Special Spring Trip: The Miller's is a great option for groups looking for more whitewater than

the Deerfield River - Fife Brook trip. It offers a Class II-IV challenge through rapids such as

"The Funnel" and Tsunami".

Class of Rapids: II, III, IV

Minimum Age: 12

Length of Trip: 10 miles

Trip Time: Full Day

Food: River Snack & Cookout (hamburger/hot dog)

Deerfield River Float Trip (Charlemont, Massachusetts)

Easy Half Day Trip: Our Guided Float Trip is great for younger rafters and their families.

During eight miles on the river you'll enjoy a combination of floating, splashes of whitewater, opportunities for swimming and a delicious riverside snack.

Class of Rapids: I-II

Minimum Age: 5

Length of Trip: 8 miles

Maine White Water Trips

Kennebec River (The Forks, Maine)

World Class Whitewater: The Kennebec runs daily for youth groups looking for big excitement.

This is the most popular river trip in Maine and will thrill your group with world class whitewater.

Class of Rapids: III, IV, (V)

Minimum Age: 12

Length of Trip: 12 miles

Trip Time: Full Day

Most Aggressive Trip: The Dead at High Water is our most aggressive raft trip. Only youth groups with rafting experience should choose this sixteen mile trip full of action.

Dead River Summer Releases
(The Forks, Maine)

Intermediate Wilderness Trip: The Dead in the Summer is an outstanding adventure for youth groups. Sixteen miles and dozens of rapids make it great for any group.

Class of Rapids: II, III

Minimum Age: 9

Length of Trip: 16 miles

Rapid Shot Paintball 

Play paintball the day before or the day after your raft trip in Maine or raft and play paintball all in the same day. Come try one of our four great fields:

Mayday (woods), Bunker Hill (scenario), Patriot (speedball) or Maine Street (urban village scenario).

West River (Jamaica, Vermont)

Action Packed Intermediate Trip: The West is a special trip for youth groups looking for aggressive intermediate whitewater along with great views through Jamaica State Park.

Class of Rapids: II, III, IV

Minimum Age: 12

Length of Trip: 9 miles

Trip Time: Full Day

Food: River snack & Cookout (chicken, salmon, veg. option)

If your group has enjoyed the April West River trip in the past, try the Millers River trip this spring. It has the same level of rapids with action throughout the trip. At high levels, the Millers can have much bigger rapids than the West.

 

Split Your Group

If you have a group that has a wide range of ages and ability levels, it is possible to split your group and have some try a more adventurous river and others an easier alternative on the same day. These trips will be coordinated to meet and end at the same time making planning easy for you.
